        安樂哲《經(jīng)典儒學核心概念》是一部以嶄新宏大的文化視野,采用中西比較哲學闡釋法,面向全球推出的經(jīng)典儒家哲學核心概念術(shù)語工具書。辭典涵蓋經(jīng)典儒學關鍵哲學術(shù)語近百個,將其置于中國原有的文化闡釋域境中,還原出它們本來的真實內(nèi)涵,這無論是對世界了解儒學,還是對中國對外講述儒學,都將是一部前所未有、發(fā)蒙起蔽的跨文化闡釋哲學術(shù)語工具書。

         

        本書從中西哲學比較的角度出發(fā),收錄了92個儒學關鍵術(shù)語,每一詞條先給出英文對應詞,再以《說文》等為依據(jù)訓詁,最后結(jié)合儒學經(jīng)典用英文進行闡釋。本書的宗旨在于糾正西方對中國文化的誤讀。

         

        作者認為:中西思想傳統(tǒng)各有自己一套獨特的哲學語匯,這套哲學語匯在各自文化語義環(huán)境中自圓其說而不可直接相互翻譯,由于雙方對彼此原本語義結(jié)構(gòu)性差別的忽略,在以往中西哲學直接相互翻譯過程中,存在著大量的文化不對稱誤讀、誤判;例如將儒學“天”誤讀為西方基督教的“Heaven”(“天堂”)一詞、將“禮”作為基督教的“ritual”(“宗教禮儀”)等。因此,僅靠詞對詞的翻譯,難以達到有效的溝通。

         

        要使西方人恰當?shù)乩斫庵袊鍖W,就必須顧及中西思想傳統(tǒng)各自文化語義環(huán)境的不同結(jié)構(gòu),采取比照彼此語義文化環(huán)境的闡釋方法,“使翻譯與闡釋相結(jié)合,以闡釋為主,翻譯為輔”。用這一方法,將不同思想傳統(tǒng)的重要哲學語匯、概念框架,放到各自文化語義環(huán)境中去進行二者差別的比照闡釋,用各自非哲學性的自然語言闡釋彼此的一套特有哲學語匯;以此較為恰當?shù)乇磉_中國儒學和中國思想文化,進而完成從中國向西方傳達思想的工作。

         

        【作者簡介】

         

         

         

        安樂哲,1947年出生于加拿大多倫多,世界著名中西比較哲學家,國際知名漢學大師,孔子研究院特聘專家,山東省“儒學大家”。曾任夏威夷大學哲學系教授,現(xiàn)任北京大學哲學系人文講席教授,世界儒學文化研究聯(lián)合會會長,國際儒學聯(lián)合會副會長,尼山圣源書院顧問,北京中外文化交流研究基地首席專家。2013年因其對中國思想多年來的出色研究獲得“孔子文化獎”。2016年,榮獲第二屆“會林文化獎”。2018年榮獲“文明之光·2018中國文化交流年度人物”;并榮獲“北京大學燕園友誼獎”;2019年榮獲“杜威學術(shù)學會2019終身成就獎”;2021年榮獲“中國政府友誼獎”。安樂哲教授翻譯了《論語》、《大學》、《中庸》、《道德經(jīng)》、《孝經(jīng)》、《淮南子》、《孫子兵法》等書而蜚聲海內(nèi)外,著有:《先賢的民主:杜威、孔子與中國民主之希望》《通過漢代而思》《主術(shù):中國古代政冶制度之研究》《通過孔子而思》等。
